Since joining CDRI in 2009 Pirom’s research has focused on food security, rural livelihood improvement and rural development. She has rich experience of conducting large-scale primary household surveys and agricultural value chain analyses. Her recent work focuses on Cambodia’s agricultural sector and includes an Impact Evaluation Survey of Extension Program in Cambodia, funded by IFPRI; a Follow-up Survey for USAID-HARVEST Impact Evaluation, supported by USAID; and Rice Policy Analysis: What Are the Implications of Rice Policy Changes in Vietnam for Cambodia’s Rice Policy and Rice Producers in South-Eastern Cambodia? funded by USAID. She previously worked as a data analyst at Indochina Research where she was responsible for preparing and designing databases for analysis. She holds a Master of Development Studies from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
