On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Dr. Jean-Philipe Venot, a Senior Researcher of the French National Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) met with the CDRI Researchers. IRD is a 75 years old Research Institute under the French Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The opportunities for study visits, Ph.D. scholarship, and potential collaborative research were discussed. Dr. Venot’s latest research outcomes in Cambodia on fishery management, irrigation including the roles of community-based organization and private water service providers in PPP, challenges for securing the productivity and profitability for farmers, and agriculture and other sectors labor market dynamics were shared and deliberated.
