2nd Regional Symposium on Digital and Green Economy in the Greater Mekong Subregion

On 3rd December 2024, CDRI’s Economic Centre successfully organized a on ” : “, with support from International Development Research Centre (IDRC), at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.
The 2nd Regional Symposium brought together 104 academics, researchers, and practitioners to share evidence-based research and insights on the digital and green economy. The symposium focused on governance reforms in the context of digital and green transformations in the GMS, emphasizing gender equity, inclusivity, and sustainability. The Symposium also aimed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among regional think tanks, with a focus on governance and policy innovation.
As a result, the symposium has featured 2 panel discussions, 2 keynote presentations, and 4 parallel research presentations, which were covered the platform economy, e-commerce, digital trade, governance, gender, diversity, social inclusion, education, the circular economy, data-driven sustainability, natural resources, and the environment. Through this symposium, the participants gained new insights about the intersections of governance and gender inclusion in digital and green economy.
