Kick-off Workshop for the Preparation of the State of Gender Equality and Climate Change

On July 15, 2020, the Center for Environment and Natural Resources hosted a kick-off workshop for the preparation of the State of Gender Equality and Climate Change Report. It was attended by 25 participants from UN Women, CDRI, Ministries of Environment, Agriculture, Rural Development, Women’s Affairs, and Mines and Energy, and NCDD Secretariat, and Action Aids (CSO). The expected outcome is the national report would become “a tool” to raise awareness about benefits, advantages, and need for gender-responsive climate action, analyze gendered impacts, and suggest ways to enhance and mainstream gender equality into the nationally determined contributions (NDC) and climate-relevant sectoral policies.
