Project Objective

To raise awareness about the benefits, advantages and need for gender-responsive climate action, analyse gendered impacts of climate change, and suggest ways to enhance and mainstream gender equality into climate-relevant sectoral policies.

Project Description

Under technical and financial support of UNEP and UNWOMEN, the assessment report is “a tool” to raise awareness about the benefits, advantages and need for gender-responsive climate action, analyse gendered impacts of climate change, and suggest ways to enhance and mainstream gender equality into climate-relevant sectoral policies. Besides, the assessment report will assist Cambodia to improve the readiness for the new gender-responsive climate finance projects and lay the foundation for the preparation of such climate financing projects that promote equitable benefits. The project is progressive at finalising based on peer review and drafting the brief for policymakers. The project schedules to organise a dissemination workshop in the fourth week of July 2021.
