Improving Climate Change Adaptation and Natural Resource Governance in Cambodia

    • Identify low-cost and technically appropriate climate change responses and practices across sectors including water, agriculture, forestry and fisheries and agro-ecological zones;
    • Identify the factors that either facilitate or hinder climate change and disaster risk reduction mainstreaming and implementation;
    • Find out how current institutional arrangements and local resource mobilisation could ensure success and sustainability;
    • Find out how the private sector could be harnessed to achieve a balance between economic development and environmental conservation for sustained rural livelihoods and social welfare; and
    • Disseminate lessons learned for policy uptake.

    • Local communities in Kampong Chhnang, Battambang, Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Prey Veng and Kampot provinces

Progressive Activities

Theme 1: Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction.

  • The team finished the data collection in Battambang, Prey Veng, Kampot, Kampong Thom, and Kampong Chhnang provinces and is in the phase of analysing and report writing.
