We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Scientist to join our Data Hub team. The successful candidate will support various data-driven projects, contributing to research initiatives that inform policy and development strategies within Cambodia.

DUTIES:

1. Data Analysis and interpretation:

  • Assist in analysing large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights.
  • Develop statistical models and algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

 2. Data Management:

  • Work with the research data team to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse data sources.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and analytics.

 3. Tool and Technology Utilisation:

  • Utilise advanced analytics tools and software like Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
