The Interim National Water Resources Master Plan


Project Description
The project will provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) and ACP4Climate for the development of an Interim National Water Resources Master Plan for Cambodia. CDRI, as a subcontractor to Alluvium International, will lead the Cambodian contextualisation and provide expertise across key areas including political economy, governance, institutions, policy, GEDSI, stakeholder engagement, livelihoods, irrigation, water resources engineering, and environment/fisheries. The engagement will support the project's inception activities, foundational assessment, stakeholder engagement, framework development, and the preparation of the Interim National Water Resources Master Plan.
Project Objective
To provide technical analysis, practical advice, and Cambodian contextual expertise to support the development of a comprehensive Interim National Water Resources Master Plan. The plan will establish a shared vision, strategic objectives, and implementation pathways for water resources management in Cambodia, covering governance, institutional arrangements, investment requirements, climate resilience, and the integration of social, environmental, and fisheries considerations.
