CDRI researchers engaged with the Australian thinktanks to explore strategies for research communication and discussed potential collaborations with the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership. In addition, there was a focus group discussion with Australian Council for International Development and Asia-Pacific Development, Diplomacy & Defence Dialogue centred on research uptake and policy engagement, and they also visited Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions at Australian National University to discuss climate change economics and policy.

Furthermore, they had discussions at Monash GPS and the Grattan Institute, and learned about water governance in the Mekong region from the Climateworks Centre. They also gained insights on Feminist Foreign Policy and the use of gender equality data from the International Women’s Development Agency and academics from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University of Melbourne.
