Dr Chea Phal, Director of the CDRI's Education Centre, participated as a panellist in the Fifth Stakeholders’ Meeting on the Internationalisation of Higher Education in Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, which organised by UNESCO Bangkok and the University of Tokyo.

This event aimed to promote understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of international higher education in Asia and the Pacific, facilitate dialogue among multiple stakeholders and build a platform for ongoing collaboration through higher education in the region, and guide policymaking in national higher education systems and institutions to foster the comprehensive development of internationalisation in Asia and the Pacific. During the panel discussion, Dr Phal shared his insights on the situation in Cambodia, discussing the roles of think tanks, universities, and development partners in knowledge generation and diplomacy.
