The ASEAN Climate Change Strategic Action Plan 2025-2030 (ACCSAP) Cambodia National Consultation Workshop

On 15 July 2025, the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) jointly hosted the Cambodia National Consultation Workshop for the ASEAN Climate Change Strategic Action Plan (ACCSAP) 2025–2030 together with the Ministry of Environment. Organised in collaboration with the ACCSAP Secretariat (IGES), the event took place at Fairfield by Marriott, Phnom Penh

The workshop brought together over 40 representatives from government agencies, CSOs, and NGOs to:

  • Identify national needs related to Means of Implementation (MoI), including finance, technology, and capacity development
  • Discuss strategic priorities and programme needs aligned with national climate priorities
  • Provide recommendations on key areas and programmes for inclusion in the ACCSAP.

Through highly engaging discussions and insightful inputs were captured from the diverse participants, and these inputs are now being compiled into a Cambodia National Report. This crucial document will directly feed into drafting the ASEAN Climate Change Strategic Action Plan (ACCSAP) 2025–2030, ensuring Cambodia's national priorities are reflected. It will also serve as a key input for Cambodia's delegation at the upcoming ASEAN Regional Consultation Meeting, shaping the final regional strategy.

We sincerely thank the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Korea Environment Institute (KEI), and the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) for their generous logistical and financial support for this workshop.
