Khath Bunthorn is a Research Associate at the Center for Governance and Inclusive Society, Cambodia Development Resource Institute. He received his doctorate in Indo-Pacific Studies from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and obtained an MPhil Degree in Indo-Pacific Studies from the same university under the General Cultural Scholarship Scheme of the Government of India (GCSS/ICCR). He did his MA and BA (Hons) in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. His research interests include modern politics of Southeast Asia, India and Southeast Asia, foreign policy of small states, and ASEAN, with a particular focus on Cambodia’s foreign policy and politics. His research papers and articles have appeared in a couple of scholarly journals, including Area Studies: A Journal of International Studies and Analyses, Journal of Liberty and International Affairs, Journal of South Asian Studies and India Quarterly.
