PHAL Raksmey

Research Associate

Mr Raksmey Phal is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Research in Agriculture and Rural Development of CDRI. He holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. His research focuses on the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in small organizations, such as universities, to evaluate their potential to meet ambitious net-zero targets. Specifically, he assesses carbon emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), carbon stocks, and carbon removals associated with various NbS strategies. In addition to his academic work, he has been actively involved in many national and international projects. His areas of research interest encompass Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), as well as studies aimed at enhancing agricultural production in Cambodia.
